Walmart stocking problem attracts media attention

For the past month we’ve been following Walmart’s empty shelf problem (as reported by Bloomberg) and now it looks like other major blogs and media outlets are also taking notice.

TIME, Barron’s, and The Consumerist have all run pieces on Walmart’s stocking programs. The pieces also ask whether cost-cutting has led Walmart to inadequately staff stores, resulting in poor customer service, long lines, and merchandise just not making it from stockroom to shelves.
